The trip was only a few miles with no locks or bridges so pretty uneventful. We returned to Oude Tonge so we could meet our friends Rob & Heidi Woodgate and their two boys Ben and Sam who were arriving by car on Monday.
On the Sunday night we got a Chinese takeaway on the main square which was delicious and please Kath.
We spent Monday morning spring cleaning the Goose and doing jobs that needed doing.
Our guests arrived at about 4pm and for our first night we went to a Italian “restaurant” which was more like a Pizza/Kebab restaurant. It was reasonable but not sure we’d go back. But we finished off the evening with an ice cream from a nearby shop.
One of the great things about Oude Tonge is that there is a Albert Heijn supermarket about 50 metres from the boats so we stocked up on wine and food.
We also took advantage of the marina’s deal 4 nights for the price of 3. So if you stay for 3 nights throughout the season you get the 4th free. The fee for the night for a 13 metre boat is €23 including a good wifi. The water costs 50cents for 100l.
