1. Mosselbanken

  • Location: Just east of Stampersplaat.
  • Type: Artificial islands with good shelter.
  • Mooring: Free mooring at jetties, or anchor off in good holding.
  • Depth: Generally 2 to 3 metres.
  • Popular for: Swimming, picnicking, and nature watching.

2. Dwars in de Weg

  • Location: North of Stampersplaat, centrally located in the Grevelingenmeer.
  • Type: Elongated island with several mooring spots.
  • Facilities: Wooden jetties, beaches, picnic areas.
  • Depth: Variable but typically safe for shallow-draft boats (2–3 metres).
  • Note: Very popular in summer.

3. Archipel Islands (Zonnemaire side)

  • Location: Along the northern shore of the Grevelingenmeer near Zonnemaire.
  • Type: Small clusters of artificial or semi-natural islands.
  • Shelter: Fairly well protected from wind depending on direction.
  • Good for: Overnight anchoring and daytime swimming.

  • Holding is generally good (sandy/muddy bottom).
  • The lake is non-tidal but can be affected by wind setup.
  • Depths vary from 1.5 to 6 metres – always consult up-to-date charts.
  • Many islands allow 24-hour free mooring, but fires and littering are strictly prohibited.
