We left Middelburg and traveled the couple of miles to the lock at Veere. The island is just a couple of lilies from the lock.
This little island is in the middle of the Verse Meer between Veere and Kampaland both of which we visited by tender. There is a supermarket in Kampaland and the harbourmaster does not mind you tying up the tender.
These islands are amazing and something you don’t see in the uk. They are perfect destinations for a picnic or letting the kids play. They are free to moor at they have mown grass areas, toilets and rubbish bins door your trash.
