20130715-214620.jpgWe intended to go into the marina when we reached Ouddorp, just 2.8 miles on from the pontoon we spent last night at. However, on arrival we discovered that the harbour was full. So as we were meeting our Dutch friends, Walter and Yvonne, there we decided to drop anchor and tender in.

As the town was a good mile inshore we took the bikes as well. So our tender was quite full with Kath, Lucy and I, 2 folding bikes and the rubbish from the last two days. We got to shore with no incidents and met Walter and Yvonne in town. It was really nice to catch up.

Ouddorp is a really nice town, well worth a visit. After lunch we went to the Albert Heijn supermarket as we were very low on provisions and we needed some battery top up water. Needless to say we were well loaded up on the tender ride back as well.

The main reason we needed the marina today was to charge up the batteries. As that was not an option I spent some time sorting out the generator, albeit a temporary fix, but it worked fine for a couple of hours so the batteries got a good charge.

As Lucy hadn’t slept all day she went to bed early and we got a nice evening meal and a bit of peace in the cockpit.
